몇몇 대표적인 Code Review System을 소개하고 장/단점을 설명한다.
우선 장점으로는 해당 도구를 사용하였을 경우에 integration testing 등과 비교하여 code review(inspection) 활동에서 defect를 발견하는 사례가 많았다는 것을 설명한다.
그러나 해당 도구가 가지는 한계에 대해서도 몇가지 설명을 하였다.
첫째는 일반 text document에 대한 review기능에 제한되어 있다는 것이다.
둘째는 너무 많은 email을 무분별하게 발송하게 되며 이에 대한 customization기능이 없다는 것이다.
마지막으로는 checklist를 지원하지 않는다는 것이다.
