our purpose in this life

I am confused. According to Recent capitalism father adam smith, individual fair competition is very good activity for us all. And for this competition, we got to be very individual and even selfish. But you can't attack this unconditionally. Because intense competition help more and more people become stable although there is relative deprivation sense. Helping other person is very good way of life. But be cautious. In this competing society, such an action may push you into a corner. I think the good way is like this. We are in capitalism society. So, money is power itself. So, you should earn much money not hurting others but just playing a fair game. Then, spend your money for others especially for poor and weak person. That's a good way. And Bill gates can be a our good role model.
